What this tool does, what it refuses to promise, and where the limits are.
Smallrung helps you narrow down to one thing and then holds the line with you. It cannot make you do the work. Nothing here promises an outcome — not a finished project, not a shipped product, not a passed exam, not more money, not more time. What you get is a stricter question and a record of how you answered it.
No outcome claims, now or later. We will never tell you "users finish X% more often". We do not measure that, and a number like that would be an advertisement, not a fact.
Nothing in Smallrung is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are dealing with burnout, depression, anxiety, or a health condition that affects your ability to work, talk to a professional — a focus tool is not a substitute, and we are not qualified to be one.
If you are in crisis, contact emergency services. In the US dial 911; for mental-health crisis support call or text 988. In the EU dial 112, in the UK 999.
Smallrung is built local-first: your list, your notes, and your history are stored in your browser on your device. That is good for privacy and bad for one specific scenario: if you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use a private window, that content can be gone. Export before you clean up, and use the same browser for the same list.
On our side we keep what a purchase needs: a licence tied to a token, and event logs (for example, that a licence was issued). We do not keep a copy of your tasks.
If you enable sync, your records are stored so you can reach them from another device. We cannot promise it is instant, and we cannot recover data that was never successfully sent. Treat the device copy as the source of truth.
We work to keep the site up and to fix what breaks, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are a small operation. The app itself keeps working offline once loaded — the parts that need the network are purchase, sync, and email.
Payments are handled by our merchant of record (they are the seller on your statement), hosting by our infrastructure provider, and email by our sending provider. Each sees only what its job requires.
If something here reads as a promise we cannot keep, tell us: hello@smallrung.com. A person reads it.
